Wallikiki

Once a month a group of people get together to play Wallikiki. Its kinda like phase ten but a lot more fun. Mostly because of the people we all play with. See the winner gets to host the next month and proudly display the metal duck. The loser, the one with the most points, carries the wicker duck. Yeah, I won. So in September I get to host Wallikiki and have the precious duck in my house. Be jealous.

Teacher

Some people are born to fly in space, others operate on people. My mom was born to teach. This year she gets to! Thursday my mom was hired at the newest 3rd grade teacher at Harvest Elementary. The only problem--school started 5 days later. With help from some amazing people my mom started to teach her little 3rd graders today. She will be fantastic. I love her camping thing and can't wait to help her get her room finished up. Congrats mom! I'm so excited for you!

Birthday

Jace turned 25 on the 23rd of August. 25 is a big deal. I mean how often do you turn a quarter of a century? After plotting and planning for a few weeks I sent Jace on a Scavenger Hunt. Trust me keeping a straight face was hard. I drove up to Salt Lake to meet him at work, to hopefully throw him off, then rushed around to get things done. Basically, I sent him to places that reminded me of him. Of course pictures were taken. He followed the cheesy story I wrote for him. He went from Jamba Juice, to his brothers, to Winco, to his house, to Bridal Veil Falls, and ended at the park. We had a great picnic while I stalled until 2000. The best part--he had no idea about his party. I had friends waiting at my house with his cake to celebrate. I had a blast plotting with Steve to pull this off. Jace just kept smiling that night. Happy Birthday Jace!

Gotta love these boys!

Roommates

I can't believe it's been 5 years since Amie, Laura, Dani, and I plus Greg & Jared have all been in the same room. Somehow the stars aligned and it happened!!! With everyone in Utah for a bit we decided it was about time we got together. I laughed at the fact that kids were running everyone and all the guys were just talking away. The girls, yeah we laughed and talked like nothing had changed. Though our conversations were now about diapers and labor pains instead of FHE or the crazy test we just took. I have missed these girls and can't wait to spend more time with them over the next few months!

Wakeboarding II

The summer is coming to a close. How in heaven's name did that happen?! I'm stoked for the fall--my favorite season--but it does mean the water sport season is closing. So we went again. Jace, Steve, Bryce, Amberly, Mark, and I all headed out to Deer Creek at 0700. The fun part--I worked the night before and had been up for 24 hours by the time I went to bed Saturday afternoon. Needless to say I was a bit on the loony side. Completely worth it though. I brought my big fancy camera in an attempt to develop my photography skills. I got up and did better this time. My body is still mad at me though. Time to do more squats I guess. What's sad is I am already counting down the days until we can go again.

Antimony

I don't think life can get any better right now. Going from vacation to vacation is just so rough. :D. After driving back from California I met up with Steve, Jace, and Claire to begin the second vacation. To say I was excited to see Jace after a week is a HUGE understatement. It was all I could do not to skip over to him as I saw him walk up to me. Steve's parents own a ranch/house in Antimony. Don't ask me where that is. Somewhere over the rainbow is the only way I can think of it. So what did I do?

1. Hiked through Bryce Canyon--Jace knew I would love to take pictures of it!

These poor people put up with all my picture taking.

Look we have another picture together!!

Steve and Claire

Can you see Claire?

Claire, Steve, Jace, & I

2. Explored and experienced all the farm all animals. The pig was my favorite.

3. Played on the motorbikes. Jace and Steve took us up into the hills for a gorgeous view of the Sunset. They tried to teach us but after the fence and fence post were tackled we put it on hold. of course I burned my leg. How dumb can I get? I just have this thing with fire.

4. We all rode in a Horse drawn carriage through town in the evening.
5. Kissed a toad--wait I have a prince already!
6. Took the boat out. Then took the boat back. Yeah stupid boat was rebelling.
7. Listened to songs by Greg--our host.
8. Played some games and watched the rain pour!
9. Woke up to my boyfriend bringing me wildflowers after his early morning bike run.

Did I mention I had a blast? Great location. Fun people. Good Food. Lots of time with Jace. What more could a girl ask for?
