Unsure
I'm not going to lie--I have been in a bad mood for the past couple days. Its taken me days to figure out why but i finally did. I'm lonely. I have amazing friends and a supportive family but I'm still lonely at times. I got a taste this summer of what having a boyfriend was like only to have it ripped from me and my heart broken. While I will never take him back--everyone can breath yes I know he is all the names you have called him--I miss having that one person that just loved me for that short period of time. My single life is amazing and I have big plans for a house of my own, traveling the world, and getting my masters soon, but that dull ache is always there. Oh well I guess life is just life and I apologize for my bad mood!! Okay pathetic moment over-I do get these occasionally give me some credit :P
I am excited to travel halfway across the world in 11 days!! Yes, I get to see my brother and Mozambique, Africa!!!!! I emailed back and forth with him for two hours last night finishing up the details. Now if I can just figure out how I'm going to entertain myself for the 20 hour plane ride!

The Amazing Ability to Kick My Own Butt
So I've decided to suck it up and get in shape! So I've tried to go to the gym more frequently and have discovered 10 reasons/benefits to going as often as possible:

10-Using equipment that has had millions of other sweating guys on it before me.
9-Running in one place for hours on end
8-Watching girls in better shape than me running on the treadmill
7-A place to escape from everything.
6-Swimming whenever I want to.
5-Its a great place to take out my frustrations--the machines just fight back.
4-Eating chocolate with the excuse that I will go to the gym later.
3-Waddling around like a duck after a good workout!
2-Hot boys in cut off shirts walking around or in swimsuits.
1-One day being able to say "Dang I look good in a swimsuit!!!"

Oh What I Do At 4:00am
So this is just a small example of what I do when its slow at 4:00am. I put a TBSP of cinnamon in my mouth and tried to swallow it--this is the ending result. I continued to dry heave for about an hour afterward. Oh I love my job.
Saying Farewell To Summer
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
To say goodbye to the summer I went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming with a bunch of work friends. Word of advice don't go on a road trip after working all night. The drive up was a big of a haze as I dozed in and out of consciousness. All 12 of us piled into 4 cars with a whole lot of stuff. My favorite part on the way up was when Gina got pulled over by the cop. Every road trip that I go on with her she gets pulled over. Instead of hitting the river that night, we drove over to a waterfall. I love waterfalls! After shooting pictures, Levi discovered he had a flat tire. oh what fun road trips are! I am really surprised that John's bus made it up there in one piece. We set up camp and just wandered around Jackson after that. All the single people crashed in one tent and the married people in their own--we mocked them a lot :D Oh the fun!!!
The next morning We loaded up and went to the river--dang we all looked hot in our gear. I can't believe how cold that water was! The newbies were all in the raft with Crystal and everyone else fended for themselves. After the first big wave we turned around to see Crystal hanging off the back gripping Cheryl by the lifejacket! HAHAHAHA!!! The rest of the waves we held our own though it take us a while to get the paddles coordinated. The worst wave was the Big Cahoon; it wasn't that bad until we got right on top of it--I got plastered by that wave. After the raft made it through we turned around to see Levi and Trevor flip over and start floating down the river. Oh I can't wait to go again!!
2 cars had to head home that night we left at 2130 and didn't get home until 0300--we had a bit of a detour on the way home. Gina, Becky, Andy and I were in one car and just sang at the top of our lungs and swapped stories. I really think we had brain cell damage from the sun. The trip was a blast!

Other Events in August
Weston Turned One!
This kid is hilarious. His Birthday Party was all about him. We took so many pictures of him diving into his cake--making a LARGE mess in the process--and him opening presents. I don't think he was used to that much attention at once. He got over it though and put on his charm for the whole crowd. Kalli also turned 13 that same week. How weird is that? My baby sister is a teenager--oh how I don't miss those days! My mom turned 50 and is enjoying the season of Monk she received.
Amie's Wedding
One of the highlights was watching Amie get married to the man of her dreams. I loved seeing them together after being there for the drama in the Beehive Manor years. She looked gorgeous in her dress and so happy as she walked around. I was also able to see two of my favorite roommates and their husbands and kids--I felt a little out of place there :D. This was probably the last time we will all see each other for a long time. Oh the crazy memories with these girls!!
Random Changes
So I have also joined a gym and plan to get my sorry butt back in gear. Hung my Demotivator posters and Dark Knight Poster in the Basement. It just looks complete now. I started Institute and love it--the teacher reminds me of a REALLY energetic seminary teacher but he's got a great way of bringing the spirit in. I'm reading books like crazy so if anyone has any suggestions let me know! But my biggest excitement is preparing for Africa!!! That's right in less than 3 weeks I will be halfway around the world seeing my missionary brother. I'm sure everyone is sick of hearing me talk about it. So that's my life. I promise to have some entertaining work stories next time.
