A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away I once participated in the Highland Jr Miss Scholarship Program. Yeah, I'm still shocked to this day. Even more shocking is I won at the local level. Yeah you can all pick yourselves off the floor now. But to be honest that was the beginning of my woman transformation. Yeah Learning to walk in heels isn't as easy at it looks.
Years later Kristi decided she was going to participate as well. Oh the flashback memories. I got to be her backstage mom through the whole thing. We practiced with the walk, the speech, swapping outfits in 5minutes, and spraying hairspray everywhere. It was a lot of fun.
The night of the performance I could tell she was nervous. But she got on stage and strutted her stuff. Don't ask me when it happened but my little sister grew up to be a gorgeous woman. I'm so proud of her for doing something outside her comfort zone. She was poised and graceful the whole night. Then my amazing sister went on to win 2 tennis tournaments. Congrats Kris! I'm so proud of you!
