Moving Day

Today has been a long but life changing day. Today I moved into my very own house!! Dan and Amy came to pick Jordan up and get his endowments out. Of course I abused them. The abuse started at 10:30pm last night when all of my belongings were loaded into my car, the giant trailer, and 2 trucks. How I have accumulated so much junk in 5 years I don’t know. At 0730 this morning my alarm went off and I wanted to throw it across the room. I don’t usually get up at that time. However, my brothers were even harder to wake up. In one of their last final hoorahs, the three amigos stayed up all night. Yeah they will never grow up. Caravanning down to Orem, I just kept praying all of my stuff stayed on the trailer.
My brothers, uncle, and cousin went to work carrying in my big couches and bed in, plus all the heavy boxes I would not be able to. I said thank you and goodbye to Dan, Amy, and Jordan—they had a 12hour drive to California today. Since that time I have organized like a monkey. Okay I did crash for 3 hours in the middle of the afternoon. Looking gorgeous and smelling for sweet—I hadn’t showered or put make up on—I ventured to Target. There I continued to deplete my savings account. Seriously I have never spent this much money at one time and it’s still hard to swallow. With my down payment, TV, couches, and setting up the house my money is gone. Oh well, its completely worth it.
Despite all the stress, frustrations, and moving walking through the door of my house and realized it was all mine was the best feeling. Like a school girl, I jumped up and down when I put my car in my own garage and closed the door. So though I still have a millions projects to do and the organizing will be an ongoing process, I’m here. I own my own house now with all the fun and stress that goes with it.
