How is it that most of my vacations leave me more exhausted then when I started them? I think it starts with working 3 night shifts in a row. H1N1 is still raging and I hope we have come up with a way to take it on. I hope its gone before December--the chaos will only get worse when the regular flu, croup, and RSV break out.
I was able to break away and play in Park City with my mom and sisters this week. With Mark busy, Scott married, and Kevin in the MTC, the girls are going to take over! Park City is beautiful this time of year. With the contrast of the snow on the mountains and colors of the trees, nothing could be better. I was able to walk around with my mom and take some pictures.
Here are a few highlights:
- Painting our fingernails in bright colors while watching Mama Mia.
- Kicking butt and winning 5 rounds of Junk Food BINGO.
- Spending 4 hours watching North & South--a new favorite movie.
- Waking up to my mom, with blood dripping down her face and then patching her up at 5:00 in the morning.
- Finding a tree that had hundreds of shoes hanging from it.
- Bargain shopping and wishing I had more money to blow on boots and jackets.
- Discovering a new favorite store--Carters.
- Sitting in the Hot Tub for hours with the jets on my back.
- Visiting the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and eating Chocolate!
- Wandering through a bookstore.
- Watching my sisters pass out at 2030 after they claimed they could stay up all night.
- Locking my Keys in my Car, having to drive to Highland, then Orem, then Back up to Park City, then back again to Highland, then down to Provo, then back to Highland. Yeah I spent a lot of time in a car.
In adding to the fun, Tanner gave his farewell speech. In a few short weeks he will join Kevin and Jordan in the MTC. Oh the Chaos they will unleash on that place. I honestly don't remember most of the drive. I was passed on in the back seat. Mark was out numbered this trip with all the girls present. To be honest I miss Rexburg. Life was simple back then. Studying, studying, eating chocolate cake, and goofing off. Now, I get to be a grown up.
Great photos! Sounds like an eventful weekend! Yeah, I miss being irresponsible down in Cedar City.. Being grown-up is only fun sometimes!
