Isn't she gorgeous?! Another first occurred. Kristi went on her first date. To Prom! After getting plastered with colors, attempting to wash it all off, and failing miserably, I headed to Highland. Where I promptly crashed on the couch. However, 20 minutes later the bathroom became the prep room. I am not a hair stylist at all! I didn't even start doing my hair til my senior year of high school. But I branched out and did Kristi's for her big day. Kristi went to Prom. It was a lot of firsts for her too. After LOTS of hairspray, little mascara, some dancing music, a bit of sparkle, and a fabulous dress by mom Kristi looked amazing. I think it was finely the moment I realized she was 16 and growing up. I had to stand on my toes to put the lip gloss on because she was that much taller than me. Flashbacks to my first prom kept coming back. She was so nervous putting the boutonniere on though. Kalli and I held back the little smirks and giggles as Kristi and Chris had their pictures taken by Dad. Dad kept up his tradition of the shotgun by the front door. LOVE IT! I could tell just how excited and nervous she was.
Once they took off Kalli, Mom, & I watched Princess & the Frog then Blind Side. I love both of those movies. Nothing big but I stayed up and waited for her to come home. I loved the smile she had one when she walked through the door. Me. I was spying through the windows. Did you really expect anything else?! I went home and crashed after I talked to Kris. Exhausted but happy!
